On the inside, a pouf has a cotton cover that is stuffed with polystyrene beads. This stuffing gives a pouf a form and sturdy structure while making it extremely lightweight. 

The outer cover is made of 100% cotton yarn. It is easy to remove the outer cover, which is washable in the washing machine at 30 degrees.
The inner bag is filled in by the polyester beans (like the bean bags), which are eco-friendly and safe.
